About us
A little shop in the ByWard Market
Adorit started with a simple, happy idea: clothes can be beautiful and kind at the same time. We fill the racks with Canadian-made pieces, fair trade lines and eco fabrics — then we help you find the ones that feel like you.
Made by people we know
Most of what we carry is designed and sewn in Canada, in studios small enough that we can call and ask how a run is going. Hemp, bamboo, organic cotton, deadstock fabric, hand screen-printing — the good, careful stuff.
Our designers work fair trade and treat their teams well. We're proud to say that plainly, because it's the reason these clothes hold their shape season after season.
The rest is joy: bright prints, unexpected details, whimsical finds and one-of-a-kind treasures that walk out the door and never come back in the same size.
Hello from Emma
I've been in this neighbourhood a long time, and I still think there's nothing better than watching someone light up in a fitting room mirror.
My job is knowing the racks inside out — which designer runs small, which fabric softens beautifully, what will still be your favourite thing in five years.
